ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Tired of inefficient and sporadic marketing efforts that don’t produce results for your LSP? Look no further, because this workshop will give you practical tips and tried-and-tested approaches for your translation services that you can apply right away and see immediate results.

There are plenty of marketing courses, marketing gurus, marketeers, digital marketing agencies, growth consultants, business consultants, you name it. They can all help you with marketing strategies, content writing and the like, but marketing is so complex, dynamic and ever-changing that you need to work on it regularly and continuously. It’s very hard to find time for all marketing activities, but the more you know about marketing, the more efficient you will be.

Even if you are working with a marketing agency, you should be familiar with the basics of marketing in order to take charge, monitor the agency’s work, and ultimately assess the overall progress and success of your marketing efforts.

On the other hand, no one can know your offerings and your customers better than you. No one can sell your services better than you can. An agency will spend a certain number of hours on your business, but the development of your business is most important to you. You are responsible for the success of your business every waking hour. You are the one who has to keep track of all business operations.

Marketing is definitely expensive, but it’s absolutely necessary to grow your business and stay relevant. Once you get it right, you will feel the benefits quite quickly.

To help you master marketing concepts that every small and medium business needs, we have developed a practical workshop that includes the most useful digital and traditional marketing approaches and best practices that can be applied to your business immediately.

WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR

This workshop is beneficial for owners, executives, middle managers, and other employees of a small and medium-sized business. You will upgrade your necessary marketing knowledge to successfully grow your business.

MODULES

The workshop consists of six modules, delivered in three parts.
Each part will take place once a week, and lasts 4:15 hours including short breaks in between:

In each module, you will receive a short theoretical framework and practical exercises. You will also be assigned practical exercises to work on between parts after each part.

You will receive a certificate of participation upon completion of all six modules.

The content of each module

    I. THE PRESENT AND FUTURE OF YOUR TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL MARKETING

Many small and medium-sized businesses spontaneously start working on their marketing because they know they should do something or because their competitors are doing it. As a result, they often post relatively interesting content on their social networks without knowing who exactly they are trying to reach. They seem to just want to be present and sincerely hope that algorithms or artificial intelligence will do the work. Their websites look good, but they are not quite sure how effective they are. From time to time, business representatives attend conferences without a plan for how they are going to close a new deal. In short, their marketing often seems ad hoc and unsystematic.

It’s extremely important to get a handle on your marketing from the beginning, to know where and how you want to start and where you want to go. And then develop a good action plan with progress monitoring.

In this module, you will learn how to:

  • ▪ Eliminate the weak points and deficiencies of your marketing
  • ▪ Combine digital and traditional marketing to attract new customers
  • ▪ Define and win the heart of your target audience
  • ▪ Set goals for your digital and traditional marketing
  • ▪ Get the most out of your competitive analysis
  • ▪ Take advantage of events such as networking events, conferences and trade shows

II. MARKETING CONCEPTS YOU CAN’T DO WITHOUT TO ENCHANT YOUR CUSTOMERS

Marketing is about visibility, awareness and positioning. A market is like a huge jungle where you have to put up your sign saying that you are present there with your services or products. Easier said than done, is not it?

It is crucial to know how marketing actually works for a small and medium business, where to start with your branding, how to turn a lead into a customer, what all these marketing terms mean to you, etc. Once you know the essential golden marketing concepts, nothing will stand in the way of growing your business.

In this module, you will learn how to:

  • ▪ Set up your branding elements to charm your new customers
  • ▪ Build your sales funnel and leverage it for growth
  • ▪ Accurately match and attract your ideal buyer persona(s)
  • ▪ Properly use influence and the art of persuasion
  • ▪ Avoid manipulation and apply ethical decision making
  • ▪ Use relationship-centric marketing to ensure returning customers

III. HUMAN NEEDS AND STORYTELLING FOR YOUR CUSTOMER JOURNEY

Marketing, sales, management – it takes a lot of psychology to do them effectively. Many people are not successful in these areas because they do not really understand how the human psyche works in these contexts.

It’s critical to know what people really need, what motivates them to buy, how this whole psychological process works. Business is like a table with four legs. One leg is marketing, the second is sales, the third is your services and products, and the fourth is people. They all need to be stable so you can get the money to the top of the table.

In this module, you will learn how to:

  • ▪ Apply knowledge of human needs in both marketing and management
  • ▪ Apply the most effective storytelling concept in your marketing and sales
  • ▪ Design your customer journey so that your customers stay with you for the long term
  • ▪ Design and maintain an excellent customer experience
  • ▪ Trigger recommendations and excellent reviews

IV. YOUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA FOR NEW AND EXISTING CUSTOMERS

Many SMBs have websites with outdated content. In addition, they are often not customer-focused, but full of praise for the owners and their services. Likewise, social media content is not targeted to the right audience, often with a vague strategy or none at all.

Many seem to forget that your website is your storefront. It needs to be special enough that today’s users, who spend only a few seconds on a website, find it attractive and worth spending more time on it. Your website should focus on solutions to their problems or ways to fulfill their interests or desires. So should your social media profiles. The two together can turn visitors into customers if you use the right approaches.

In this module, you will learn how to:

  • ▪ Make your website customer-centric so visitors feel like buying
  • ▪ Optimize your website effectively so that it brings results
  • ▪ Monitor the necessary technical aspects of your website
  • ▪ Develop a successful social media strategy
  • ▪ Integrate branding across your website and social media

    V. EFFICIENT COPIES AND CONTENT FROM LEAD GENERATION TO NURTURING

Many businesses seem to forget that today’s marketing is all about the relationship with the customer. People should relate to the content you offer them as part of your marketing efforts.

“Content is king, but context is god,” Gary Vee once said. That’s why you need to be smart and careful about what you say to your prospects and existing customers, because it will have a big impact on how you attract and retain them.

In this module, you will learn how to:

  • ▪ Write copies that grab your customers’ attention
  • ▪ Use content marketing to attract long-term customers
  • ▪ Create inviting landing pages and lead magnets
  • ▪ Make the most of your SEO and SEA
  • ▪ Write your newsletters effectively
  • ▪ Reach your customers directly through account-based marketing

VI. PAID ADS, BOOSTED POSTS AND SUCCESS ANALYTICS OF YOUR MARKETING

“No pay, no gain”. To get the word out about your services and reach the ideal clients you really enjoy working with, you should pay not only with your time invested in your free content, but also with real money for various posts and ads. Combining useful free content with boosted posts and/or paid ads makes your marketing a complete and well-rounded entity.

To know where to invest further or which practice to abandon, you need to track and measure your success with various tools.

In this module, you will learn how to:

  • ▪ Place paid ads in your Linkedin or Google account
  • ▪ Boost your posts when it makes the most sense to do so
  • ▪ Draw immediate actionable conclusions with Google Analytics
  • ▪ Draw immediately actionable conclusions using Analytics on your social media
